Challenge #146 - Animals
Another challenge has arrived here at The Male Room Challenge Blog. The theme this month is to feature animals in your masculine cards and projects. Here is the card I came up with.
For this card, I used several Lawn Fawn stamps to feature as many critters giving a celebratory send off to a person I know who is going on a new art adventure. She received a 10 month art scholarship this year and this card is a reminder to show the critters doing a happy dance and throwing a celebration to help wish her all the best for her new art adventure. Actually, this person is ME (haha), and I'm really excited about it. It is for this reason that I'm stepping down as DT from this card challenge to make room for new things. I want to thank everyone in the DT for all their support and love and all you crafty friends who have appreciated my cards. Thank you so much. I started my card using a slimline size of 9.5 cm x 20.5 cm. bristol card front. I ink blended distress oxide stormy sky and shabby shutters the card panel and vintage photo for the ground. I arranged the stamps according to the scene I wanted, and did a lot of masking. I learned here that the trick with masking is to stamp your image in the front first, and work towards the back by masking one image at a time as shown here.
Once stamping is done, I coloured my images with copic markers. Then fussy cut around the images to resemble a single panel card. For my sentiment, I got these from the following sets: "Sending wishes... for a very (Dandy Day), flantastic new adventure (Toadally awesome and Bicycle Built for you).
